Leveraging Relationships with Local Subcontractors

The BluePearl^® North Seattle pet hospital was completed in October 2017 and includes a veterinary oncology clinic with LINAC, CT and future mobile MRI, pharmacy, laboratory, exam, blood bank, cardiology, treatment, and surgical spaces. Since the owner of this facility is not local, Aldrich worked to connect them with local consultants to ease their transition into our regional market. A recent challenge we overcame on this project was matching an existing, out-of-the-area, epoxy floor within another one of the owner's clinics. As the floors on this project were proving difficult to recreate, Aldrich sent our project manager and superintendent to Oklahoma to examine the floors and understand the exact look that the team needed to create in the new Seattle clinic. Leveraging our relationships with local subcontractors, we shared knowledge gained from this investigation and achieved a final product that the owner and design team requested. With the budget top of mind, we were able to use shared resources to lower overall project costs.
