Bringing a 1906 Wood Structure to Life for Community Healthcare
The renovation and adaptive reuse of an existing two-story building and the ground-floor of an adjacent parking structure for a medical, dental, and behavioral health clinic includes a pharmacy to serve Puyallup and the greater South Puget Sound.
Built in 1906 and known to our teams as the cannery building, this project presented its share of challenges, which the team overcame through being proactive and working collaboratively with the owner and design team.
Selective upgrades to modernize the exterior envelope were thoughtfully designed to maintain the historical charm of the building. The garage, a previously shelled basement, was completely reimagined to provide a state-of-the-art pharmacy and community outreach center.
