Keeping patients + staff safe

The project entailed upgrades to utilities, finishes, and surgery equipment in five operating rooms. Work was performed in the center of the operational perioperative area at Seattle Children's Hospital. We created temporary walls and enclosures at the connection points so the work could be completely separated from operational spaces, isolating noise, work and dust maintaining strict environmental quality requirements of the space. Each OR was completed separately over a six week period.

Aldrich was proactive during the infection control plan development by making procedure recommendations to ensure non-construction-related vendors would comply with the hospital’s strict requirements.
